Ecape Artists and Island Weddings
OMG! My new puppy, Tyson, has learned how to escape his kennel! I was greeted today at the door after work by a very happy and somewhat smug Tyson, just happy as can be! I didn't believe my brother when he told me that he did it this weekend, but now I am a believer! I don't know what I am going to do...
Escape 1 happened this past weekend when Matt and I were on my birthday weekend to Put in Bay. We had the greatest time, despite spending too many Benji's. Oh, how I could live the life of an Island girl. I told my parents that if they wanted Matt and I to get married so bad they could pay for an Island Wedding! I am tellin you people, this is the life...
There is this great little winery on the Island where we stopped with our little golf cart and the wine was so tasty that I did not want to leave. I think I would have to go Playboy style and get myself a cute little pink golf cart though, the styling on our contraption left something to be desired. They did have golf carts that looked like a huge banana and also one that looked like a pirate ship, but I am thinkin that pink is still the way to go... The weather was there for sure, and I still wish you all were beautiful...
We hit up the bar scene, and saw a fab band called The Menues. Look them up, if you are ever near a show you have to go. The lead singer (male) wore cheerleading outfits and tutus and covered all the '80s bands imaginable. We listed and grooved while sipping cocktails at the worlds longest bar, The Beer Barrel Saloon! I do admit I am getting a little too old for this but really can you ever be too old?
It was a weekend that will go down in history, so many great memories. We also had drinks on a Pirate Ship, who can say that? To all you Jimmy fans, the Put In Bay locals said it ranks up there with a little place they call Key West. I think that I might have to make that comparison some day...
But for now I remain one of... The People Your Parents Warned You About!
